Abby McDonough is the newest addition to the Saratoga Horseworks team! She came on board in early 2022 and has hit the ground running in aiding customers with all of their needs. She's a lifelong horsewoman currently bringing along a young horse, a lover of Taylor Swift and salsa verde enchiladas. Before Joining Saratoga Horseworks
At only 23, Abby has been everything from a barn manager to show groom to a trainer at several facilities up and down the east coast. Her experience working for professionals in the Hunter/Jumper, Eventing, and Dressage worlds has given her a true understanding and relatability to our customer base. She's loved all of the clients and horses she's worked with over the years, and even found the time to graduate from Morrisville State College with a bachelor in Equine Science. Being in the equine industry for most of her life has made Abby a well-educated Customer Service Representative.

Why Customer Service?
While working in the barn, Abby found that she enjoys helping clients achieve their goals and giving them the best experience possible. She's a problem solver that happily assists in finding the best solution to customers' needs. Her experience on the show circuits comes in handy when she's asked to suggest custom options to design the perfect dress sheet. Her passion and experience have made her an asset to the Horseworks team! Abby is prepared to answer any question or concern with her growing knowledge of the products she represents!
Favorite part about SHW?
Since starting this new journey, Abby has found her favorite part of the job is helping customers design their dream horse clothing and K9 Kooling Coats. She very much enjoys finding the perfect combinations to create beautiful one-of-a-kind garments that exceed customers' expectations. Most importantly, she loves to see photos of the finished products on the horses and dogs they were created for!

What do you do outside of work?
When Abby is not at Saratoga Horseworks, you can find her working with her 4 horses. She actively rides and competes in Hunters/Jumpers and dabbles in Dressage. Her current herd includes Willis, a retired Thoroughbred eventer, Gique, a semi-retired Swedish Warmblood Jumper, D’Alton, her green Hanoverian competition horse, and Requiem Dies Irae, her 2-year-old Hanoverian hunter prospect. Keeping her horses at home makes it possible to juggle her passion and career!
