Photo Competition Guidelines

Saratoga Horseworks is excited to bring back our photo competition! It is our goal to connect to our horse community by sharing images of the everyday horse enthusiasts pursuing their equine related endeavors! The best shots will be featured on our website and print materials and the winners in each category will receive these outstanding prizes!

Grand Champion: $500.00 of Saratoga Horseworks Custom Horse Clothing

Reserve Champion: $250.00 of Saratoga Horseworks Custom Horse Clothing

1st Place: $100.00 of Saratoga Horseworks Custom Horse Clothing

Grand Champion will be awarded to the best photograph including all themes. Reserve Champion will be awarded to the runner up for best photo including all themes. Three, 1^st Place awards will be given to the top photo for each theme.

Timeframe

Deadline for submitting entries is December 1, 2009.

If you miss the deadline but would like to submit your photos to Saratoga Horseworks for consideration and use on the horseworks.com web site please contact us at customerservice@horseworks.com

Submitting Photos

Please send a 1 MB JPG file or the URL for the web-hosted submissions to: customerservice@horseworks.com Please make sure you include a description with your photos (who, what, where, when). Also don't forget to fill out the Contest Entry Form.

Candid Interaction

Whether it be during a ride or a random moment back at the barn, we're looking for the little moments that exemplify the special relationship shared between horse and human.

Equestrian Lifestyle

Images that capture horse and rider in action in a variety of environments. Ringside, bathing stall, open field, evening hack, or any moment showing the two (or more) engaged in a typical activity depicting the equestrian lifestyle.

Glam Shot

Let's face it, we know that sometimes our equine partners just like to ham it up in front of the camera when they are wearing their favorite Saratoga Horseworks garment so why not capture that moment and send it into us!

As a manufacturer and seller of quality horse clothing we are obviously most interested in photographs that include Saratoga Horseworks products. We are also realistic and know that equestrians often purchase items from a host of suppliers. It is not necessary that the subject of the image look like a Saratoga Horseworks billboard, however obvious homage to a specific manufacturer should be obviously Saratoga Horseworks.

Rules and Guidelines

Contestant retains ownership and all other rights to future use of their photographs.
Photos will be used on the Horseworks website and in print materials only. If we desire to use the image in any additional manner we will contact you for your express permission.
Entries must be your own work and a model release must be obtained (if appropriate).

Some digital manipulation is fine but this is not a competition in Photoshop use and original photography is preferred.

We reserve the right to crop the images as we see fit.

We reserve the right not to award some or all of the prizes if the quality of the entries falls below the required standard.
Each photo that is submitted must be accompanied by the Photo Contest form.
The Category MUST be specified or the photo will not be judged.
